About regulators
From entry level separates through to expensive high end components you will find cheap OEM regulators fitted (usually designated 78xx [positive] or 79xx [negative]).
These regulators are inherently very noisy and this prevents your equipment from effectively producing the best audio it is capable of. The standard regulators corrupt the delicate circuits with high noise levels and slow reaction time. This hides subtle detail and slows the attack and decay of instruments and drastically reduces details and sound stage air.
The SPOWER regulator addresses these fundamental problems, featuring a stable high speed low noise voltage delivery. You can expect to hear increased detail, energy and spatiality. The timing and dynamics will take a leap forward towards a musically satisfying result. You can also expect to hear better texture and a lower noise floor.
The SPOWER benefits from a very low noise precision voltage reference which is fed via a filter circuit offering broadband filtration to a low noise JFet Operational amplifier, the output of which controls a fast, high current HEXFET power MOSFET which can output a nominal 500mA and over 5 amps heavily heatsinked!
